Bio
Connie Walsh uses video, sound, sculpture, and architecture to explore conceptually the strategies we use to negotiate between individual perception and social construction. Her work addresses the shifting distinctions, disconnections, and subtle overlaps of the self and other – the private and public – that shape our experience of the world.
Connie received her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1993 and was a resident at Skowhegan in 1996 and 2021. Her solo shows include Marianne Boesky Gallery and Sculpture Center in New York. She lives and works in Los Angeles and runs a project space called FOYER-LA.
